If you are on the list of people who suffer from insomnia or have trouble sleeping. Check out the following post, where you’ll find the solution to your sleepless nights.
Marijuana can claim to be a plant with a wide variety of compounds, although two of them stand out: tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD).
Various investigations have shown that both compounds have a considerable effect on sleep. In particular, THC causes us to fall asleep more quickly. As for CBD, this oil stimulates our sleep hours to be much more peaceful and relaxed, which makes us feel more rested the next day.
There are various effects linked to sleep that the herb produces. As a rule, it takes about 7 minutes to fall asleep, unless the individual is under stress, pain or other discomfort. Cannabis, in this case, acts as a sedative and relaxant to ensure that this time does not last longer than desired.
It should be noted that the Indica varieties are the most appropriate for this, as they have relaxing and analgesic characteristics. The Sativa, however, cause euphoria effect (the opposite), so it is advisable not to smoke them two hours before going to bed.
On the other hand, and although it usually depends on the amount consumed, the joint action of THC and CBD helps the individual to sleep longer than usual. It also achieves a period of deeper rest during the third and fourth stages of sleep and, despite this, the effects on the individual will not be maintained the next day, so that he can continue with his daily life normally.
It is in these moments of deep rest that sleep has the greatest power of ‘restoration’ and helps the body to repair its problems. In particular, this phase helps to reduce the levels of an element associated with the onset of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Marijuana also decreases the density of rapid eye movements that take place during REM sleep, which also contributes to greater rest for the individual. It is precisely because the deep sleep stage is lengthened that the REM phase of sleep (its final moment) is reduced, when the person’s unconscious is most active. This means that the consumer will imagine less while sleeping, will hardly have any dreams or they will be very mild, so that the next day he will hardly remember them.
There are different strains that you can smoke to help you fall asleep: AK-OG Kush, Blue Mystic, CBD Critical Mass and Northern Light. You can also use oils or tinctures, we recommend: The Lunatic Sleep CBD infused tincture.
Well, my smoking friends… You already have the solution for your sleepless nights!
