Dabbing is one of the most popular methods of enjoying marijuana concentrates, precisely because, like food, it is one of the most potent forms of consumption.
If you are just starting to dabbing, it is best to be aware of some of the common mistakes beginners make so you do not do the same.
1- Taking big puffs
Dabbing, undoubtedly is not the same as smoking marijuana, but many inexperienced users when, using this method often give large puffs as if it were a joint, the truth is that you should not do the same way. Remember that you are consuming concentrated and these usually contain a higher THC level, than the flowers, so you should start slowly to avoid an overwhelming high.
Take it easy when it’s time to dabbing! Start with small doses, (about the size of a breadcrumb) and gradually increase it, so you will enjoy it much more.
2- Holding the rig incorrectly
Many beginners make the mistake of grabbing the rig incorrectly when inhaling, which is why accidents such as being burned by the nail, losing the dab or even dropping the rig happen.
When you are about to start dabbing you need to hold the rig with one hand, either around the base or around the main chamber, press your mouth slightly against the mouthpiece and at the same time place the concentrate on the nail with your other hand.
As you are starting out, it is ideal to get someone else to support you by holding the tower.
3- Swallowing the vapor
Many users usually swallow the vapor instead of inhaling it. This is something to avoid, as the irritation caused by the vapor can make you nauseous or vomit.
What you can do is not accumulate the steam in your mouth, so you will avoid swallowing the smoke, remember, start with small puffs and inhale slowly.
4- Overheating the nail
To vaporize the concentrates with dabbing, they must be heated to very high temperatures, and a blowtorch is usually used for this purpose. The ideal temperature is between 160 and 230°C, if you exceed this, you could end up burning the concentrate and it would lose power and flavor.
What you can do is heat the clove until it is red-hot, then wait a bit until it cools down. Then place the dab on the clove before it regains its original color.
If you are looking for a powerful effect, surely with the dabbing you can get it, just be careful when you start with this method; remember the common mistakes that are often made to avoid making them.
If you still don’t know how to use dabbing you can ask a friend who is an expert and tell him to show you how to do it.
Don’t touch the nail when it’s hot and be careful when you bend over to dabbing, plus after use, be sure to clean the nail, rig and other tools so you can have a great experience again next time.
