This former baseball player teamed up with a marijuana company

Dominican David Ortiz, the former Major League Baseball player known as “Big Papi,” has partnered with cannabis company Rev Brands to launch a new line of products called “Papi Cannabis.”
The brand’s products will be available at Rev Clinics and other partner dispensaries in the Massachusetts area.
According to the product’s website “with its medicinal benefits,” they offer a line of pre-rolled cigars and a wide range of cannabis items to be launched in the future.
“Once I embraced the flow of the flower, everything changed,” Ortiz said in a statement. Likewise, the recently exalted to the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, also mentioned the benefits that marijuana consumption has caused him.
“Cannabis has helped me relax, sleep better, manage stress and heal physically after a lifetime of playing ball, and I look forward to sharing Papi Cannabis and my personal journey to help people understand its benefits,” the former ballplayer said.
“We are thrilled that David chose Rev Brands to work on this very special product line. David was extremely involved in the development process and selected some of his favorite strains,” said Tom Schneider, director of marketing for Rev Brands-owned Revolutionary Clinics cannabis stores.
“It has been amazing to learn about David’s cannabis journey and the benefits he has experienced far beyond recreational use,” Schneider also expressed.
