If you are already initiated in the art of growing cannabis bonsai, you will know that it is an activity that requires patience.

To keep your small plants up to date, you will have to be attentive to give them the care they need, and to make your job easier, here are some tips for that.

Why is it a good idea to grow marijuana bonsai?

Bonsai are miniature trees. The term bonsai refers to the technique used to keep these plants small.

With marijuana, you can also apply this method, and it is an excellent alternative to preserve mother plants in a small space.

 Tips for growing cannabis bonsai

To start growing your marijuana bonsai, it is ideal to consider the volume of the pot you will be using. Among the most used are the 0.5 to 3 liters, because these will allow you to limit the growth of the roots in an easier way.

As for the type of lighting, it is recommended that you use low consumption bulbs of around 125 and 200W. In this way, you will avoid stimulating the growth of the plant too much.

Also for the growing of your bonsai, it is necessary to use a quality marijuana substrate.

How to care for your cannabis bonsai?

To maintain the longevity of your miniature cannabis plants, you should consider a few things:

1- Water carefully to encourage root development of your plants. Try not to use too cold water.

2- Some growers have successfully tried a light cycle of 6 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness, to slow down the growth of cannabis, however, others claim that you can run the risk of stressing the plant.

Once the bonsai has formed, it is recommended not to move it from the growing site, as environmental conditions can change and end up affecting your plant, stressing it as well.
