Jiffy is one of the materials used both for germinating marijuana seeds and for rooting cuttings. This is a compact disc of pressed peat and soil or coconut fiber wrapped in a fine mesh, which when moistened increases in size.

If you want to germinate your pot seeds with this element, likely, you are still not very familiar with how to do it, therefore, we will present you a guide so you can put it into practice without complications.

Germinating cannabis seeds in Jiffy

1- To start the process, immerse the Jiffy in a glass of water. You should wait about 10 to 15 minutes for it to begin to absorb the liquid and begin to expand. It is generally recommended that the pH of the water be between 5.5 and 6.

2- Then, we will take out the Jiffy and we will have to drain the excess water, but do it carefully because we should not squeeze it too much. The Jiffy should be moist and not soaked.

3- Then place the Jiffy vertically on a tray, and make a hole in the top of it to facilitate the entry of the seed. You can help yourself with a toothpick.

4- Proceed to insert the seed one centimeter and cover it. Wait several days until it begins to germinate, this process can take 2 to 7 days.

It is recommended to place the tray in a place where the direct light does not hit it and that is warm. In addition, we must maintain the jiffy humidity.

5- Once your seed has germinated, and the plant has developed its first two leaves we can transplant it to the medium where it will grow, that is to say, relocate it to a pot or plant it in the ground, without extracting your plant from the Jiffy.
