Growing marijuana outdoors attracts the attention of many cannabis growers, if this is your case, we are sure you are interested in knowing how to get the best results.

Keep reading this article, here are some tips for you to successfully grow your precious cannabis plants outdoors.

1- Select productive genetics

To get great harvests, an important step to keep in mind is to choose the right cannabis genetics, remember that there are strains that are characterized by producing better yields than others. For example, the Purple Queen strain can be a good alternative, this variety produces between 650-700g per plant outdoors.

2- Plants should receive plenty of sunlight

You must take into account the sun exposure that your plants will have, the more hours of light your flowers receive, the healthier, better structure, and more production they can have.

If you are going to grow your cannabis strains in the ground, make sure you place your plantation in the sunniest area. If, on the other hand, you grow in pots, it can be easier because you can usually move them in search of the best place.

3- Protect your plants from rain

In humid climates, there is a greater chance of fungus appearing on your growing, so it is best to keep your girls from getting wet or staying wet for long periods.

To protect your girls from the rain, you can choose to move your pots to a safe place. If, on the other hand, you planted your weed in the ground, you can opt to place a plastic sheet on top of them to avoid the downpour, always making sure that the air circulates.

If your cannabis strains get wet in the rain, after the storm it is recommended to check the plants and shake their stems to remove excess water. Do this carefully.

4- Decide where you are going to grow in the house

As we mentioned before, plants need to receive plenty of suns and proper ventilation. When choosing a place to plant your girls, opt for one that is discreet and breezy. Avoid planting your pot in shady and excessively humid places.

At home, there are several outdoor areas or places where you can grow your cannabis such as, for example, in the garden, on the balcony, or terrace of your home. Select the size that best suits you.

5- Use mulch or mulching

Using mulching or ground cover can bring you several benefits to your plantation, one of them is that it will help you to reduce the surface temperature of the substrate.

Mulch helps to insulate the soil, keeping it warmer in winter and cooler in summer. This will greatly benefit the roots.
