If you have been growing marijuana for some time, you would probably like to learn new techniques. What do you think about the idea of creating your own feminized cannabis seeds? Yes, that’s right, through various feminization techniques you can achieve it.

By planting these seeds, you will only get female plants, which are precisely those that produce buds, sounds good, right? Well, say no more, and know the feminization technique that uses silver thiosulfate.

Apply silver thiosulfate

One of the most used methods by cannabis growers to feminize cannabis seeds is the use of silver thiosulfate (STS) because they claim that it is effective.

To start with this technique you should select female plants, make sure they are completely healthy.

Then prepare the silver thiosulfate by mixing silver nitrate with sodium sulfate. Once ready, spray the STS on one of the plants we want to reverse their sex. It is important that you do this process in another room different from where you have the other plants.

It is recommended to spray the plant with the lights off or dim light so that the strain receives the substance better. Some growers spray on the fifth day after changing the 12/12 photoperiod.

The operation should then be repeated after 10 days. In about 15 to 20 days, you will begin to notice how your plant will start to form male flowers with their pollen.

It is precisely this pollen that you should use pollinate other female plants that you previously selected.

The recipient female plants will be pollinated at the beginning of the flowering stage, once this process has been carried out your plants will start to develop feminized seeds.

Final Considerations

Plants that are sprayed with the STS Mix, once the feminization process is done, forget about them, as they are not suitable for consumption. It is also recommended to use gloves to perform this method.
