Fusarium is a fungus that lives in the soil, and this can become a very dangerous enemy for your cannabis growing since your plants can die, thanks to the multiple damages it causes.

If you want to prevent this from happening, the best thing you can do is to take care of your plants to prevent them from appearing, which is why we recommend that you follow the instructions below:

1) Clean constantly

A very important aspect that you should always take into account is to maintain cleanliness during the whole process of cultivation and harvesting. Constantly disinfect the utensils you use to handle your plants and wash your hands regularly.

Also, clean the growing room, and remove the dry leaves from the floor, remembering that spores also germinate in dead plant material.

If you wish to transplant your cannabis, clean the pots thoroughly with bleach before use, and make sure that the pots are not too dark in color if you are growing outdoors, as they can get overheated and be an ideal focus for this fungus.

2) Use a quality substrate

As you know, this fungus develops in the soil, so you have to choose a quality substrate and try to keep it below 30 degrees, as high temperatures are favorable for its appearance.

Clay soils are ideal for protecting your plants, as they have bacteria that eliminate this type of fungus. However, you can also add fungi such as Trichoderma Harzianum to the substrate you have, to take care of your cannabis.

3) Control humidity and temperature

The Fusarium develops in humid and warm environments; therefore, it is necessary, that you control these factors.

On the other hand, it tries to avoid overwatering the plants and avoiding stagnant water.  Also, provide your crop with a means of ventilation.

4) Try other planting methods

One of the forms of culture indicated to prevent the appearance of this type of fungus is the hydroponic culture, since the Fisarium does not survive without the ground. You can try this alternative.

5) Regular check-up

While it is true, that it is very difficult to stop the invasion of this fungus in infected plants if you can save your other plants. That is why you must be very careful with your cultivation so that you can act quickly.

Caution

Be careful and check well that your cannabis is not infected before taking it elsewhere. Do not use these plants, if that is the case.
