Mistakes made during the flowering phase can considerably affect the quality of the harvest, hence the importance of taking care of every detail during this last stage.

To help you complete this phase and improve the flowering of your “Juanita” indoors, here are some simple tips.

Tips to improve flowering

1- Prune excess foliage

Before the flowering stage begins, we recommend pruning and training your marijuana plants to allow as much light as possible to reach the buds.

During flowering, you must make sure that the lighting is adequate, otherwise, the flowers will not be fattening.

2- Avoid over-fertilizing

You must keep in mind that not by fertilizing the buds more they will be bigger, on the contrary, instead of benefiting your plants, you can cause an over-fertilization.

If you apply the right dose of fertilizers during the flowering stage, you can guarantee that your growing will remain healthy. During this period, fertilizers should be especially rich in potassium and phosphorus.

3- Control the temperature and humidity of your grow room

Keep factors such as temperature and humidity under control. Generally, during flowering, humidity should be reduced to 40-50%, and it is also recommended to reduce relative humidity to 35-45%. Also, avoid high temperatures, ideally 20-26°C.

4- Use red light spectrum

In the flowering phase, don’t forget to use the red light spectrum to promote bud formation.

The lighting cycle should be 12/12, i.e. 12 hours of light and 12 hours of total darkness.

5- Solve the problems before flowering starts

When growing indoors you have the advantage that you can control when your plants start flowering. Use this to your advantage and induce flowering when your strains are completely healthy. Avoid having to correct nutritional deficiencies or fight off pest attacks while your girls are flowering.
