You know, there are methods to grow marijuana, and doing it in soil is precisely one of the most traditional, but what conditions should this growing medium meet to be suitable for my cannabis plants?
Well, this question is quite important, you see, having a suitable growing medium can largely determine the success of the final harvest.
What should the soil be like?
Marijuana needs soils with special growing conditions, for example, the texture of the soil should be light and airy. In this way it can promote the development of the root system and allows good levels of oxygenation of the root.
The soil where you are going to plant your Mary Jane should have good drainage, if you notice that puddles form when watering your flowers, then it is a sign that the soil of your plantation has poor drainage, which could cause your plants to get sick.
On the other hand, it is important that the soil is able to retain water and nutrients over a period of time.
Also, keep in mind that a good soil for your weed must contain nutrients so that it can develop without problems. Fortunately, most soil mixes that you can buy in stores have reasonable levels of nutrients; however, these are depleted over time so you will need to be vigilant about applying fertilizer when necessary.
